How We Can Help

At Total Care we understand our patient's needs and understand that education for the patient, as well as the patient's family, is key to helping create satisfaction and product success. It is our promise to take all necessary time to develop and describe every step within your individualized care plan. This includes always striving to work with your healthcare providers in order to achieve a multidisciplinary approach to your care. Simply put, here at Total Care You are not a number in our clinic, you are a person.

What Are Orthotics?

Orthotics are braces that help support an existing body part. Our practitioners take the time to understand history, goals, and therapeutic life practices, in order to create and build a biomechanical device that meets each patient's specific need. Our goal is to create the most efficient device without being overly cumbersome.

We pride ourselves on using the most innovative and light weight components possible, in order to help our patients save energy and hopefully extend their walking ability and overall distance, before becoming fatigued. Our designs are thus tailored to help our patients use their own muscles and potentially become stronger while still providing the much needed support gained with an orthotic device. Not every device is made for walking. Some devices are made simply to help patients stand, to help with stretching of muscles, to support an existing body segment, or help prevent deformity.

Whatever the need may be, we promise to monitor our patients and follow up to provide the best service possible. This is your life and we want to help you make the best of it!

What Are Prosthetics?

Prosthetics are devices that replace a missing limb. They are made out of a variety of materials which are determined according to the needs and activities of each patient. Here at Total Care we have access to a wide selection of prosthetic components from all well-known manufactures. Our custom based prosthetics range from including microprocessors that adapt to your walking, such as the C-leg , Genium, X3, RHEO or Plie knee, to something simple which is made to suite a specific need like baseball, soccer, baseball, hunting, running, jogging, standing for long periods or just simple transfers.

The decision on which component to use is not always simple and our practitioners never make a selection alone. We pride ourselves on teamwork and providing our patients with an extensive amount of education before any decision is made. Combined group collaboration and our unique consultation methods set us apart from everyone else. We believe that this truly the only and best way a proper selection of care can be achieved.

To help the patient even further, we offer trial fittings on components so patients can try different hands, feet or knees before making a final selection. Our team has personal experience with prosthetics, as one of our practitioners is an amputee himself, putting us above the competition.
